AccessibilityStatement
Golden Hour Education is fully committed to providing an accessible learning environment and equal access to our services for all individuals, including those with disabilities. We strive to comply with the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) and relevant state laws to ensure that no person is excluded from participation in our programs or unable to access our website due to a disability . This Accessibility Statement outlines our efforts and policies in this regard.
Accommodations for In-Person Courses
We make every reasonable effort to accommodate students with disabilities in our training courses:
-
Facilities: We conduct courses in ADA-compliant venues whenever possible. This means locations are typically wheelchair accessible (ramps or elevators available, wide doorways, accessible restrooms, etc.). If a scheduled location has any accessibility limitations, we will disclose them in advance and find solutions (such as alternate locations) as needed.
-
Auxiliary Aids and Services: Upon request, we can arrange various aids or services to facilitate your participation. Examples include providing a sign language interpreter, allowing the presence of a service animal, reserving front-row seating for better visibility, providing printed materials in large print or Braille, or extra breaks during class. The specific accommodation will depend on the individual’s needs and the course activities. We encourage students to let us know of any needed accommodations as early as possible (preferably before the class date) so that we have time to make appropriate arrangements. You can request accommodations during the registration process or by contacting us directly. There is no additional charge for reasonable accommodations.
-
Policy on Physical Performance: Some courses require physical tasks (e.g., CPR manikin practice). We will work with individuals who have physical limitations to find acceptable modifications. For instance, an individual who uses a wheelchair might perform compressions on a manikin placed on a table instead of the floor. Our instructors have experience adapting training techniques to varying abilities, in accordance with guidance from certifying bodies. However, please understand that certain certifications may have minimum skill performance requirements set by the certifying agency. We will be transparent about these requirements and discuss with you how we can assist. Our goal is to enable everyone to learn lifesaving skills to the fullest extent possible.
-
Instructor Training: Our staff and instructors are trained to be aware of disability etiquette and to assist students of all abilities. We do not tolerate any form of discrimination or bias. All students are held to the same standards of respect toward peers with disabilities.
Website and Digital Content Accessibility
Golden Hour Education is also committed to making our website and online materials accessible to as broad an audience as possible. We continually work toward conformance with recognized accessibility standards such as the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 Level AA and Section 508 of the Rehabilitation Act . Our efforts include:
-
Accessible Design: We design our web pages with accessibility in mind. This includes providing text alternatives (alt text) for images, ensuring sufficient color contrast for text, allowing text resizing, structuring content with proper headings, and enabling navigation by keyboard for those who cannot use a mouse. We strive to ensure that videos we produce have captions and that any audio content has transcripts available. These practices align with industry guidelines for digital accessibility and ADA compliance .
-
Testing and Improvements: We periodically test our website using automated accessibility checkers and manual reviews. We also aim to test with assistive technologies (like screen readers) to identify and fix any barriers . While automated tools help, we know they are not perfect, so we combine them with user feedback to continuously improve accessibility.
-
Third-Party Content: Our site may include links to or content from third-party providers (such as scheduling tools, payment interfaces, or educational videos from partners). We cannot control the accessibility of content we do not create, but we prioritize working with reputable providers (like Square for payments) that share our commitment to accessibility. If you encounter a third-party section of our site that is not accessible, please let us know and we will attempt to address it with the provider or find an alternative solution for you.
How to Request Accommodations or Assistance

If you have a disability and need an accommodation to fully access our courses or website, we invite you to contact us so we can assist. Advance notice is helpful: for in-person classes, if you can notify us at least 1-2 weeks before the class regarding any accommodations, that will allow us the best chance to arrange services (such as scheduling an interpreter). However, we understand that advance notice is not always possible, and we will make good-faith efforts to accommodate last-minute requests or needs that arise during training.
To request accommodations or report an accessibility issue:
Please include in your request: your name, contact information, the class or content you need access to, and a description of the accommodation or issue. Our ADA coordinator or a member of our team will respond as soon as possible to discuss your needs and confirm arrangements. All accommodation requests are considered on a case-by-case basis, and we engage in an interactive process to find a reasonable solution.
Ongoing Commitment
Golden Hour is continuously working to ensure accessibility is a cornerstone of our services. Equal opportunity and effective communication for people with disabilities is not just a legal obligation for us, but a core part of our mission . We regularly review our policies and training to improve in this area. If you have suggestions or feedback on how we can improve accessibility, we welcome your input. Please reach out to us with any comments or concerns.
By making both our physical training and digital content accessible, we aim to empower all individuals – including those with disabilities – to learn life-saving skills and advance their education without barriers. This commitment reflects Golden Hour Education’s broader dedication to inclusion and excellence in training.
Thank you for choosing Golden Hour Education. We are here to support all our students and visitors.
